The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) has issued DRT a multiple-award, firm-fixed price (FFP), five-year Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for technical consulting services to support FNS nutrition programs. This BPA supersedes the previous BPA FNS awarded to DRT in 2011, under which DRT has provided expert consulting services to two dozen states, helping them improve their nutrition assistance programs.
DRT provides expert technical consulting services and solutions to FNS and its’ State Agencies (SAs), supporting the implementation and maintenance of technology systems and initiatives for FNS nutrition programs: Child Nutrition Programs (CNP), Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), and the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC). Support to ensure the proper administration and operation of these programs includes:
- Extensive Training
- Technical Writing Support
- Data Analysis Expertise
- Technical Assistance
FNS Nutrition Programs work to provide healthy meals to fight hunger and obesity in schools, child and adult care institutions, residential child care institutions, after school programs, and summer programs throughout the nation. FNS CNPs include the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), the School Breakfast Program (SBP), the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP), and the Special Milk Program (SMP).
