DRT Strategies Names Michael Duffy as Chief Operating Officer to Manage Growing Business in Federal Contracts

Leading Executive Recruited from Department of Justice to Bring IT Expertise as Federal Contracts Become Increasingly Complex and Sophisticated, Requiring Integrated Solutions with Emerging Technologies

Arlington, VA – February 28, 2011 – DRT Strategies, Inc. has named former senior advisor at the U.S. Department of Justice, Michael Duffy, as the company’s Chief Operating Officer. In this newly created position as COO, Duffy will oversee DRT’s day-to-day operations for internal processes as well as client engagements for Federal and Commercial contracts requiring his expertise in Information Technology.

Duffy brings 15 years of innovative executive leadership to DRT, as well as strong program strategy and management experience. Prior to his position as a senior advisor at the U.S. Department of Justice, Duffy served as Deputy Assistant Secretary and Chief Information Officer for the U.S. Department of Treasury. In his work for these important Federal agencies, Duffy earned several awards for meritorious service.

At DRT, Duffy will oversee day-to-day operations for extensive contracts with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, U.S. Department of Agriculture and U.S. Small Business Administration, among others. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Bowdoin College and a master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Massachusetts.
